How to take care of your fish

  • Tank Setup

    • Use a clean, properly sized tank with enough space for each fish (at least 10 liters per fish under 3 cm).

    • Add a filter, aerator, plants or ornaments, and hiding spots to provide shelter.

    • Avoid placing the tank in direct sunlight to prevent excess algae growth.

  • Water Quality

    • Keep the water clean and stable—replace about 25% with treated, temperature-matched water every week.

    • Regularly check temperature, pH, and ammonia/nitrate levels.

    • Condition tap water before use to remove chlorine.

  • Feeding

    • Feed fish with appropriate food once or twice daily, offering only what they can eat in a few minutes.

    • Avoid overfeeding, as leftover food pollutes water and harms fish.

  • General Care

    • Observe your fish for changes in behaviour or appearance—these can signal health problems.

    • Never tap on the glass or handle the fish outside water.

    • Clean tank decorations and substrate with water only, no chemicals.
